Since Larry Scott won the first ever Mr. Olympia competition, the world of bodybuilding has changed drastically. In this post we breakdown the physique measurements of every Mr. Olympia winner from Larry Scott to Ronnie Coleman (pre-2000). 

As you’ll see from the table below, the winners didn’t get bigger with each year. In fact, the first few Mr. Olympia winners were significantly bigger than those who won during the Golden Era. Most notably, Colombu, Zane, and Dickerson brought the average weight down significantly. You’ll also see the massive jump in size from Bannout to Haney, who weighed 55 lbs heavier.
